Kalyanram is producing a film on the banner of NTR Arts with himself playing the hero. In fact, Kalyanram planned a film with his brother NTR as hero and he thought of putting a title as ‘Katti’ but the project was put off for obvious reasons.

Later, he started making efforts to regain his image by bringing out another film on his own banner with himself playing the hero. Though several titles came up for consideration, finally he settled for the title ‘Katti’.

By the time, he went to the Film Chamber for registration of the title, he came to know that some other had already registered it and hence registered it as ‘Kalyanram Katti’ on the lines of ‘Mahesh Khaleja’.

However, by the time Kalyanram announced the release of the film, Gunasekhar came up before the media saying that he is producing the film ‘Katti’ with Crazy Star Raviteja as hero and the controversy stared from this point.

The Film Chamber gave him a notice that he should first get the approval from the person who originally registered the title ‘Katti’ and get a no-objection certificate.

However, Kalyanram argues that his film’s title was already registered as ‘Kalyanram Katti’ which has nothing to do with Gunasekhar and there is no need for a NOC. But Gunasekhar argues that the title/logo of the film is giving an impression of misleading the audiences as the word ‘Kalyanram’ is not clearly visible and the word ‘Katti’ is being prominently displayed.

Let us wait and watch who would win the fight for ‘Sword’ among the two.
